Warren Stephens is the new Million Dollar Roundtable chairman in New Zealand, taking over from Mark Solomon.
The role of the NZ chairman is to promote MDRT membership with the view of increasing our numbers and sharing the benefits. “There are so many benefits that advisers are missing out on but eligible for and I intend to look to continue the great work my predecessors have done in recent years and help inspire more Kiwi advisers to understand what MDRT membership is all about plus encourage attendance at the annual MDRT meeting.
"I share the MDRT passion and this is an experience that every adviser should aspire to as the annual meeting is like no other."
MDRT NZ has also appointed an area chairman to assist Stephens in his quest. That role has been filled by Cameron Bryant, who will assist with the development of MDRT in the South Island.
Bryant has been in the industry since 2006 and since then has developed a real passion and drive for the business having an excellent knowledge and particular interest in the business and personal insurance market. He is a three-year qualifying member of MDRT and recently won the Risk Adviser of the Year 2012 and 2012 Supreme Adviser Award with Lifetime Group.
Stephens says the vision is to increase MDRT membership in New Zealand so to empower advisers, with high level information, so that in turn New Zealanders get excellent financial advice. he aims to get membership back to triple digits in the next three years and get 30 advisers to attend the annual meeting next year.
