Nicoll moved from heading up the company's real estate business to become the head of life insurance in August 2009. Since then his role has evolved to become general manager wealth and then general manager adviser distribution. However he is now leaving the business at the end of this month.
Two new roles have been created - General Manager Funds Distribution and Head of Insurance Distribution.
"Most advisers specialise in providing insurance or investment advice and solutions (not both), so it makes sense to structure our business this way to provide more dedicated support to our advisers," Head of Advisory Trisha Edmonds says.
David Boyle, currently general manager Funds Management, has been appointed to the new role of general manager Funds Distribution which leads the distribution of our investment solutions through the external adviser channel.
He is also responsible for managing relationships with our regulators (e.g. IRD, Financial Markets Authority and Retirement Commission) on all funds issues and ensuring ANZ continues to be a ‘thought leader’ on retirement savings, financial literacy and regulatory change.
Brendon Neal, currently Head of Specialist Advisory, Bank Distribution, has been appointed Head of Insurance Distribution which leads the distribution of our insurance solutions through the adviser channel. Neal has a lot experience in this channel and understands our insurance business and strategy.
Ana-Marie Lockyer is moving from Head of Retirement Solutions to general Manager Wealth Products and Marketing. This role brings together OnePath's existing funds, insurance (life and general) and Private Banking product teams as well as our Wealth Marketing team.
