Accuro appoints new BDM for the South Island

Accuro appoints former adviser to new business development role.

Friday, June 6th 2014, 9:47AM

Steve Crawley been appointed Accuro Health Insurance’s first business development manager based in the South Island.

He is based in North Canterbury and plans to increase Accuro’s exposure and membership throughout the South Island, “by raising awareness of Accuro’s top quality products and low premiums within the independent insurance adviser community.”

It’s a community he understands well, having started his career in life/health insurance as a Christchurch adviser himself.

“I’ve built up strong relationships with advisers over the years, as a result of consistently delivering the service that I know they need. I’m looking forward to re-engaging with them at Accuro,” he says.

Originally from North East London, Crawley worked in banking in the UK for 23 years before immigrating to New Zealand in 2002.

From 2003 to 2006, he worked as a life and medical insurance adviser in North Canterbury. He then joined AXA (now AMP) as an account manager before advancing to the role of business development manager.
