New advisory council for FDRS
A new advisory council has been appointed for the Financial Disputes Resolution Scheme.

The Council members are Stephen Ward, Senior Partner Simpson Grierson (chair); Dr Pushpa Wood, Director, Massey University’s Financial Education and Research Centre and Bill Bevan -founding partner Gault Bevan Law (consumer representatives); Justin Kerr, Chief Executive of the Retail Credit Association New Zealand Inc and David Whyte - managing director of DCW Management Limited and Innovative Product Design Limited (industry representatives).
The council is an independent body charged with advising the scheme's owner and operator, FairWay Resolution Ltd, on the functionality and operation of the scheme, considering recommendations from the scheme on matters relating to systemic issues, membership, compliance, consumer interests and convening interest forums and reviews
