Former Morningstar equity analyst Nachiket Moghe is branching out on his own, offering independent stock research.

Moghe left the research house at the end of last month, after his position was made redundant.
Morningstar moved New Zealand equity research to Australia.
Moghe said he would continue to monitor the stocks he had previously monitored for Morningstar, out of his personal interest as an investor.
But he was also looking into the option of providing independent research to others, particularly on the stocks that Morningstar was not covering.
He said he would be willing to talk to financial advisers about the options if they were seeking research from an independent analyst.
