Mat Page, currently the Northern Area Chair, will take over from today.
Page has been an adviser since 2007, after a career in the hospitality industry.
He is director of Financial Design Group and a member of Kepa and the New Zealand Financial Advisers Association.
Stephens said he had enjoyed his time as chair of the organisation and was leaving with the knowledge that it was in a stronger position.
“I look forward to witnessing the continued growth momentum we have established and seeing it gain even more speed in MDRT NZ’s quest of developing and inspiring advisers within our industry.”
