Monday, September 14th 2015, 2:08PM
Sir John is the chairman of Steel and Tube Holdings Limited, NPT Limited, deputy chairman of T & G Global and a director of Commonwealth Bank of Australia, APN News & Media Australia and NZIER.
NZAM executive director and principal Alan McChesney, said: “Clients measure us not just on performance but the quality of our people and today’s announcement is a reflection of the emphasis we place on having a strong, independent governance team. Sir John’s decision to join the board is also an endorsement of the fact NZAM has been the best performing absolute returns investment manager in New Zealand over the last two decades.
“Our chief investment officer, Greg Peacock, and I are currently visiting our team of investment managers in Asia, the United States and Europe. These trips are of significant importance to the way we observe and actively managing risk through investment cycles, such as the extraordinary levels of volatility we are seeing now,” he said.
