It said the changes reflected the company’s continued commitment to delivering market-leading personal insurance options for New Zealanders and an increased use of technology to improve the experience its intermediary partners and policyholders have.
Botica was most recently chief officer people and community at Sovereign and held the position of interim chief executive from December 2015 till April this year.
Chief executive Nick Stanhope said her 20 years’ experience in the New Zealand life insurance industry would bring significant leadership and industry experience to the role.
"Sharron’s vision for how Sovereign can continue to improve its customer service from underwriting to management of existing customers, and how we can support our distribution partners in this, made her ideal for the role."
Elikhis joined Sovereign as the head of health strategy and product development in 2014.
“As a qualified actuary, Len's brings extensive experience spanning the financial services industry to this role along with an innate understanding of evolving customer product needs.
“With a passion for delivering a world-class suite of products to our customers, Len’s knowledge and expertise made him an obvious choice for the role,” Stanhope said.
