Fisher Funds adds a new portfolio manager

Fisher Funds has made a new portfolio manager appointment.

Thursday, March 29th 2018, 12:00PM

It has appointed Robbie Urquhart as senior portfolio manager, Australian equities.

He will assume responsibility for managing the Barramundi Limited (BRM) portfolio supported by senior analyst Terry Tolich and analyst Delano Gallagher.

Urquhart has spent the past 11 years at Trafalgar Copley, a long/short Australasian focused hedge fund.

He has been the portfolio manager most recently and prior to that was a principal responsible for researching and analysing investment opportunities for the fund.

Before Trafalgar Copley Urquhart was a research analyst at Copenhagen Capital, a pan-European long/short hedge fund based in London. His career started in New Zealand in the investment banking division of First NZ Capital.

Fisher Funds’ chief investment officer Frank Jasper said: “We are excited to have an investment professional of Robbie’s calibre joining the Fisher Funds team. His research skills and business insights will make a real contribution to identifying high quality, growing companies that will generate strong returns for the Barramundi portfolio. We look forward to introducing him to our investors.”
