It has launched Pie Wealth to offer ongoing investment advice on a range of products, including some offered by other providers.
The fund manager said the wealth division was created because its clients wanted advice on investment suitability, risk tolerance and how its funds could help.
It has hired James Paterson, formerly head of advice at Fisher Funds, to join the team.
It was revealed earlier that Pie had appointed Simon Hepple, from a role as an executive financial adviser at Westpac.
Chief executive Mike Taylor said the two advisers would be enough for the next few months but the intention was that the team would grow.
