Alan Bollard keeps Reserve Bank reins
Alan Bollard has been reappointed Reserve Bank governor, Finance Minister Michael Cullen has announced.

Bollard’s term as governor has been extended a further five years, expiring in September 2012.
Cullen and Bollard say that if their understanding of the appropriate targets and mechanisms for the operation of monetary policy changed, which could arise from a select committee inquiry, then they could agree to amend the PTA at that time.
