New Zealand’s lower prices in comparison to many of the globe’s major property markets has not gone unnoticed by those who make it their business to invest and grow great wealth. It has become so appealing in the past couple of years that a growing number of Australian investors are crossing the Tasman in search of even greater growth than they can sometimes get at home.
Renowned Adelaide-based investor Rachel Barnes has been promoting the benefits of New Zealand property for some time, and many colleagues in the Property Women group she helped form have joined her in investing here. They have had such outstanding results in the market they are now planning to share the information with New Zealand women seeking financial independence through the same sort of workshop that has been a huge success in Australia.
“It’s just commonsense that women in New Zealand would want to gain financial independence in a property market that offers them so many opportunities,” Barnes says. “If New Zealand women consider they get about half a man’s wages and half his superannuation, they really need to take charge of their situation. There is such great potential here in New Zealand and I can’t imagine a better time to enter the market.”
Property Women will conduct a one-day workshop in Auckland on Saturday, March 21, to give women an insight into their investment potential and to help advanced investors improve their position through education and networking. Some of Australia’s and NZ’s most successful women investors will address the workshop on a range of issues, including portfolio creation, contract conditions, negotiation, finance and pitfalls to avoid.
