Three hires for Mortgage Express
Fresh off the back of a partnership deal with Australian mortgage group Astute Financial, Mortgage Express has made three senior hires.

The group has appointed Roger Rao, an experienced adviser from New Zealand Home Loans. Rao spent 13 years at NZHL as the Ormiston branch owner.
Rao has a degree in commerce as well and spent several years in banking in South Africa. Rao joins the Botany office and will cover mortgages and insurance.
David Gopperth, the new general manager of Mortgage Express, following the Astute JV, said “Roger is an experienced adviser with a strong financial background and the ability to think outside the box to find solutions”.
Meanwhile, Mortgage Express has hired vehicle finance specialist Ashlee Wilbin to its Marlborough branch. Wilbin will handle personal finance, mortgage and car finance.
Elsehwhere, Mortgage Express has appointed Seng Ang, a former commercial lender at ANZ and fraud examiner at the IRD, as a mortgage adviser.
Seng will be based in Auckland and will help clients with home lending advice, as well as commercial and development opportunities. He is fluent in Mandarin and English.
