FoxPlan adds former MP to board
Wellington-based financial planning services company FoxPlan has appointed a former member of parliament as the first independent chair of its board.

Heather Roy joined the FoxPlan Board in December 2018.
“We’re pleased to welcome Heather to lead our board. Her strong governance experience and focus on strategy will add to the finance and business experience around the FoxPlan board table,” said outgoing chair and founder John Killick.
“The financial services industry has undergone significant change in recent years, with more to come. FoxPlan takes its responsibilities to clients seriously and this includes having an independent chair and governance board overseeing the company and services it provides."
Roy said: “I’m delighted to join the well-established and respected company FoxPlan has become. The unique offering of life and financial planning for clients and a rigorous approach of providing financial advice by trusted advisers sets the standard of best practice."
Managing director Paul Barnes said it was part of a new strategy that would mean mergers, organic growth and the development of nationwide distribution via FoxPlan Partners.

Roy joins independent directors Kevin Brailey, David Spaziani and Miki Szikszai. John Killick will stay on as an executive director.
