He died in late January after a decade-long battle with leukaemia.

Despite his illness, he was able to travel the world and welcomed three grandchildren.

Copland was named Spicers “adviser of the year” on many occasions.

In 2010, Perpetual used his addition to the team to launch its adviser service in Auckland.

He was also a key figure in Van Eyk advice in this country.

He held a BSc (Hons), a BCom and a Diploma of Business Studies (endorsed financial planning) and had many senior management roles with companies such as BP and Barclays before shifting into financial advice.

I was privileged to know Kevin in a professional capacity, and found him to be a hard working & diligent contributor to his clients and the industry's best interests.
He will be missed.
