Former ANZ Wealth general manager Ana-Marie Lockyer has taken on a new role as the Executive General Manager of AA Finance.
This is a new joint venture between the Automobile Association and Suncorp New Zealand. AA Finance offers loans for cars, motorbikes and boats using the backing of Suncorp New Zealand.
Previously AA offered these services to its members using the backing of Heartland Bank.
"I am really looking forward to leading this new financial services joint venture with one of the most recognised and respected organisations and brands in New Zealand and having the opportunity to offer solutions for AA members to look after their financial wellbeing with affordable financial choices, starting with the development of vehicle and personal lending options," Lockyer says.
AA said earlier this year that it had offered financing options for its 1.7 million members for 25 years with various partners but had decided to go with Suncorp because it wanted to extend its offering.
The AA already has joint ownership of general insurer AA Insurance and life insurer AA Life with Suncorp.
