The current chief executive of Sentro – a group insurance platform, entrepreneur and company director, Rob Ellis joins the Cigna board with international insight and experience successfully leading and directing companies in technology, media, financial services and digital.
“Working with businesses to enable innovation and better customer outcomes is a passion of mine. I’m delighted to be supporting Cigna’s highly talented leadership team and people on their exciting growth and innovation journey in New Zealand,” says Ellis.
As well as being the chief executive of Sentro Group and Spoke in London, Ellis is board trustee of the NZ Hi-Tech Foundation and Hi-Tech Awards Trust.
Former chief executive of Kiwibank Group for seven years until 2017, Paul Brock was an integral part of the team that established Kiwibank in 2002.
“Working to grow and develop strong customer-driven businesses that benefit New Zealanders is a key interest of mine. I’m looking forward to working with the board, Cigna’s leadership team and passionate people to protect more New Zealanders with quality insurance solutions,” says Brock.
Brock is the current chair of the New Zealand Story Group, deputy chair of Foley Wines, and a member of the Massey University Business School Advisory Board.
Ellis has been in his role since August, and Brock will join the Board in December.
The appointments follow a big year for Cigna as they continue to build momentum in the market following the combining of their OnePath and Cigna New Zealand businesses in January.
