Generate KiwiSaver's Henry Tongue.
Generate chief executive Henry Tongue says he's delighted to announce the appointment of Debbie Bourne as head of compliance and Shane Hinton as head of risk.
Bourne joins Generate from Jarden where she was wealth compliance director and head of compliance at Harbour Asset Management.
Hinton comes from a senior risk specialist role at Milford Asset Management, having previously held risk positions at Westpac and Tower.
Tongue says their recruitment is a further step towards fulfilling Generate's vision to build best in class compliance and risk management teams and follows on from the recruitment of Nick Kynoch as general counsel.
“Generate takes the responsibilities that we have to manage our members' retirement savings incredibly seriously," Tongue says.
"We have said that we will invest in getting the best people to manage those responsibilities and deliver on the trust that members place in us.
"The financial advice regime in New Zealand has undergone significant change. We are committed to providing financial advisers with the best guidance and support we can to ensure our members are receiving great advice and excellent service.
"We believe the team that we have put in place is second to none.”
