Financial Advice NZ has opened its awards nomination process and is offering early bird and new member discounts for those wanting to attend the conference and awards in Wellington on the 16th and 17th of November.
Financial Advice NZ chief executive Katrina Shanks says her team has worked hard to put together a wide-ranging list of keynote and motivational speakers from New Zealand and around the world and is looking forward to the awards that highlight the best and brightest in the financial advice sector.
"We want people going away energised for the rest of the year and we have built a fast-paced conference that also gives people the ability to network and spend time together," says Shanks.
Keynote speakers at the event are New Zealander of the Year Dr Siouxsie Wiles, Future Crunch's Dr Angus Hervey and Tane Hunter, and motivational speaker and leadership expert Matt Church.
Guest speakers include Minister of Commerce & Consumer Affairs David Clark, ANZ economist Sharon Zollner, Dr Sven Hansen, transformational speaker Mykel Dixon, The Student Army's Sam Johnson, demographer Professor Paul Spoonley, plus US-based financial planner Michael Kitces, and business expert and executive coach John Spence.
Shanks says the conference starts off looking at the global economic picture and the world we live in today then moves into business and personal development and inspiring people in times of change.
"It's going to be really fast-paced and there's going to be something for everybody."
The awards and gala dinner will be held on the Tuesday night and is always a highlight for advisers, Shanks says.
"I'm looking forward to seeing our members all in one place and hear what they have to say, we don't often get to do this."
About 300 tickets have already been sold for the event with 610 people attending the last conference in 2019.
Be Inspired Be Energised - November 15 to 17, TSB Arena & Shed 6, Queens Wharf, Wellington.
The awards and conference will feature the Financial Advice NZ AGM on Monday afternoon, followed by a tax 'masterclass', a range of speakers and presentations, the gala dinner and awards ceremony on Tuesday night and a full day of speakers and presentations on Wednesday.
