QuayStreet Asset Management has appointed Craig Smith to its team as a fixed interest analyst.

He will be supporting the head of fixed interest, Roy Cross, who is Portfolio Manager for the QuayStreet Fixed Interest and QuayStreet Income Funds.

Smith comes from South Africa. He joined the team from Melville Douglas Investment Management, a boutique asset management firm owned by Standard Bank Group. Smith brings 14 years of experience in
a variety of roles covering both equity and fixed interest analysis.

QuayStreet chief investment officer Andrew South says “Craig’s appointment to QuayStreet is part of the strategy to grow the investment team as we continue to experience strong FUM growth. His experience across asset classes is what set him apart from other candidates and he is a natural fit with the rest of the team. I’m thrilled Craig joined us and look forward to him making a positive contribution to our funds”.
