Devon creates head of retail role
Devon Funds Management created a new role, head of retail, and appointed a high profile commentator to fill the position.

Devon Funds Management have appointed Greg Smith in the newly created role of head of retail.
Prior to joining Devon, Smith has been the head of research at the Australian-based funds management and market research business Fat Prophets.
Smith has been prominent in the business media for much of the past 20 years, domestically, and offshore. In New Zealand, Smith is a well-recognised market commentator, regularly appearing as a speaker on NBR Radio, Newstalk ZB, and contributing to stock market-related articles across other media platforms.
Prior to his time at Fat Prophets, Smith was a global investments operations manager at Mellon Global Investments in London. He is a CFA charterholder as well as a qualified chartered accountant.
Devon Funds Managing director Slade Robertson said: “Greg has an excellent track record of operating in the financial markets. He will play an important role for us in representing our business across multiple channels, with a particular focus on the financial adviser networks and retail clients.”
