Life insurance company CEO joins FSC board

The chief executive of one of the life insurance companies has joined the Financial Services Board.

Fidelity Life chief executive Melissa Cantell has been appointed to the FSC board.

At its recent annual meeting the following board members were re-elected: Adam Boyd (ASB), Gail Costa (Cigna), Fiona Mackenzie (ANZ Funds Management), James McDonnell (FNZ), Hugh Stevens (Smartshares) and Grant Willis (Asteron Life).

Continuing board members include: Nick Astwick (Southern Cross Health Society), Naomi Ballantyne (Partners Life), Peter Forster (BNZ), Nigel Jackson (BT Funds Management (NZ) Limited) and Nick Stanhope (AIA NZ).

Chairman Rob Flannagan said “I welcome back our new board member Melissa Cantell and thank our exiting board members, Reuben Lawrence and Stewart Taylor, for their commitment to helping us grow the financial confidence and wellbeing of New Zealanders over the past year.”

“I’d also like to thank the board along with all of our members and the FSC team for delivering exceptional results and for their dedication and leadership that continues to help fulfil our vision to grow the financial confidence and wellbeing of New Zealanders."
