Guardians appoint highly experienced board member
The latest board member to join the board of NZ Superannuation's management board has experience with AMP, BT/Westpac and Fisher Funds.

Experienced governance leader Fiona Oliver has been appointed to the board of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, the manager of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.
Following an extensive executive career in funds and asset management in New Zealand and overseas, Oliver has held governance roles across a breadth of sectors including renewable energy, natural gas, technology, commercial property, financial services, professional services, and sport.
Guardians’ chair Catherine Drayton said, "Fiona brings extensive experience to the Guardians’ governance team along with a strong understanding of global financial influences."
Oliver's current governance roles include Summerset Group Holdings, Freightways, First Gas/First Gas Services, Fisher Funds three listed investment trusts, (Kingfish, Barramundi and Marlin Global and Gentrack Group.
Her previous executive experience includes BT Funds Management (NZ) (Westpac) chief operating officer, general manager wealth management AMP NZ and Head of risk and operations AMP Private Capital (Sydney/London).
Existing Guardians board member Doug Pearce has been reappointed to the Guardians’ Board until 30 September 2024. He joined the board in 2016.
