AIA makes a new appointment to led its distribution partnership with ASB.

Monday, May 22nd 2023, 12:22PM

AIA has appointed Calvin Romeo to the role of head of ASB Partnership, following the departure of Craig Wagstaff who moved to NZ Home Loans to become general manager franchise, distribution and marketing.

Romeo has been with AIA for more than five years and has worked across marketing, product and Vitality and distribution teams.

Prior to this role he was AIA’s strategy and delivery manager where he drove programmes to support distribution partners including ASB. He has previously been a business development manager within AIA’s ASB bancassurance team.

“Calvin knows the ASB business well and will bring great energy, drive and passion to further support and grow the partnership and achieve long-term success,” AIA chief partnership distribution officer Sharron Botica says.

AIA has a strong 25-year distribution partnership with ASB, following the sale of Sovereign to AIA.
