Kathie Tutty promoted to chief underwriter at Asteron Life

Asteron Life has appointed Kathie Tutty as chief underwriter effective from May 31.

Tutty brings a wealth of experience and technical capability to the role, having been in senior underwriting and underwriting management roles for AIA and Partners Life, says Asteron Life executive general manager Grant Willis.

Known for her unrelenting customer focus, Tutty is currently underwriting manager and principal underwriter at Asteron Life where she has contributed significantly to the development of the underwriting function, says Willis.

The promotion and being made a member of the Life leadership team recognizes her passion and ambition for the business, and her desire to take underwriting performance and strategy to the next level, he says.

“I know our advisers and distribution partners will value Kathie’s deep knowledge of our business as well as her breadth of experience in the industry. We look forward to Kathie stepping into this role at this critical time and helping shape our new business growth in the future.”

Willis says Asteron continues to grow with the support of Resolution Life Australasia and in line with the proposed sale announced recently.
