Lynne Hayman will be stepping in as interim chief executive role until October 31, while a recruitment process for a new CEO is undertaken.
Hayman joined UniMed late last year as interim chief operating officer, bringing a wealth of experience as a senior executive across a wide variety of industries, including four and a half years as chief executive of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
UniMed chairman Peter Tynan said he is confident that Hayman's leadership will help maintain the organisation’s strong solvency, momentum, and stability during this period.
Tynan says “under Zacest's guidance, UniMed has become New Zealand’s third largest health insurer, expanded into health and safety and mental wellbeing, and significantly strengthened its internal capabilities.”
UniMed is New Zealand’s third largest health insurer with more than 140,000 members.
