Cullen's super fund scheme slipping away
It is obvious from his inability to answer any questions on it that Michael Cullen's superannuation fund has come off the tracks and that no details will be included in next month's Budget, Opposition Finance spokesperson Bill English said.

"The Government continues to avoid public debate on its giant superannuation fund by refusing to publicly release any detail of its proposals," Mr English said.
Mr English today released answers to a series of written Parliamentary Questions to Dr Cullen on his superannuation scheme as outlined in his Budget Policy Statement.
"This is a fund meant to affect every New Zealander over the next 60 years. It needs to be debated, and debated at length if it is to have anything like the broad base of support it needs. There can be no debate if there is no substantial proposal." said Mr English.
"His unwillingness to debate the subject clearly shows he has been unable so far to find a way to get it past his Coalition partners," Mr English said.
