The new service is one of the first to be offered to advisers by a financial services company.
“We felt that a paraplanning service was the obvious next step for AMP in order to provide added convenience and efficiency to our adviser network,” AMP Financial Services national manager retail investments Jody Gill says.
“By introducing this new service, AMP are literally saving both time and money for our advisers so they can deliver vital investment advice direct to the client without having to undergo what can be a highly intensive process.
"More importantly, the customer can also be confident of a professional, industry compliant plan which is backed by AMP.”
Stephen Springhall, an AMP adviser from Certus Financial Group, is just one of the sdvisers who has already experienced the benefits of the new service.
“The paraplanning service has certainly provided my businesses with an added advantage through enabling me to present my client with a professional, well-reasoned document based on their own known needs analysis, objectives and risk profile,” he says.
All AMP paraplanners are either Certified Financial Planners or studying towards the Diploma in Financial Planning. The paraplanning service also complements the Building Better Business programme which was introduced to assist AMP advisers and adviser businesses to manage their businesses in a consistently professional manner.
