Peter Conroy appointed as general manager of Risk Distribution last year says the new high calibre appointments are all at the top of their game.
"They have been chosen to instil confidence that Asteron will guide advisers through the upcoming environment in 2011 and beyond with certainty."
Jeff Bailey has been appointed as manager Professional Development and Accreditation where he will assist non-aligned advisers in gaining full qualification competencies required under the new regulatory regime.
He will be responsible for managing Asteron's Professional Advisers Programme and helping advisers understand the set standards requirements as well as offering continued learning and business development advice.
Bailey has been working with regulation since 2003 and developing "best practice" processes for advisers.
Mike Morrison has been made manager Group Life where he will be focused on proactively growing Asteron's presence in the group insurance market.
Asteron have been building a platform for group life over the past couple of years and with Morrison on board, Asteron will now be actively pursuing Group Insurance opportunities through the Broker/Consultant and IFA markets.
Morrison brings experience from both sides of the industry, having most recently worked as sales manager (incorporating Group Insurance) at Aon Financial Services and prior to that as manager for Tower's Group Insurance business.
Michael Hewes has been appointed to the newly-created role of manager Distribution Services & Channel Performance where he will focus on spearheading the development and implementation of Distribution Best Practice Models to support Asteron's expansion of its intermediated distribution capability.
He has more than 15 years industry experience and comes to Asteron from AIA, where he headed up the Marketing and Actuarial team.
