Tim O'Loan will be assisting with the management of Tyndall's fixed income portfolios, with emphasis on the implementation of the investment strategy for the cash and short-term positions as well as currency hedging of offshore assets.
O'Loan joins the well-established Tyndall NZ bond team of Fergus McDonald and Ian Bellew.
Managing Director of Tyndall, Peter Lynn says, "Last year was a transitional year for Tyndall, as our ownership changed to Nikko Asset Management. We are now the only fund manager in New Zealand that is owned by a global fund manager. This change has resulted in us, with great support from Nikko AM, moving to new premises, establishing new IT infrastructure, developing new supplier relationships and moving back office and custody to BNP Paribas. The transition has now been bedded down and in the process Tyndall employed three new staff members, with O'Loan being the fourth to join within twelve months. We believe that 2012 is shaping up to be a great year for Tyndall."
