Long-timer moves on from NZ Super Fund

After nearly a decade with the NZ Superannaution Fund Tim Mitchell has left the fund and moved to London. His last role at the fund was working on projects for its strategic development team alongside Brent Gibson and Rishab Sethi.
He is not being replaced.
Brian Bourdot is now leading the NZ Active Equities team. The other NZ Active Equities team members are portfolio manager Daria Murray, who joined NZ Super in March from Alliance Bernstein where she was Vice President, Global Equities; and analyst Tip Piumsomboom. The actual trading is done by Tim Koller, Portfolio Manager in its Portfolio Completion team.
Other changes
- Michael Gleissner, Head of NZ Direct Investments, left late last monthn to focus on family commitments and consulting activities. Chief Investment Officer Matt Whineray will be acting Head of NZ Direct until a permanent replacement is appointed. The NZ Direct team manages the Fund’s investments in Kaingaroa Timberlands, rural land, Datacom and Metlifecare.
- Cristina Billet was recently appointed to the new role of Head of Legal. She joined the Guardians in July 2009. She won the CLANZ public sector lawyer of the year award in 2014.
