Slater steps down
Financial Services Complaints Ltd (FSCL) general manager Trevor Slater has announced he is leaving his role.
Friday, August 14th 2015, 6:00AM
He has been with FSCL since it opened its doors in 2010.
It was revealed yesterday that he had resigned, effective today.
FSCL said it was now well established as a specialist financial dispute resolution scheme and the time had come for it and Slater to part ways.
Slater does not plan to leave the financial services sector. FSCL said he was “looking forward to his next challenge, wherever that may take him”.
FSCL chairman Kenneth Johnston said Slater had earned the respect of scheme participants, in particular for his work educating them on the benefits of robust internal complaints processes, and how external dispute resolution works.
Johnston said Slater’s skills as a mediator, conciliator, educator and mentor of staff would be missed.
