Chief executive Natalie Cameron announced the appointment of Kylie Stubbs to the role.
Stubbs will have a focus on ensuring that AIA’s group insurance clients receive best in class service, as well as establishing new broker connections and growing relationships with existing brokers and partners.
“Relationships are central in this market and Kylie is an exemplar in channelling resources to ensure client needs are met, as well as in creating open and honest communication channels with partners and stakeholders,” says Cameron.
Stubbs has 13 years of experience in the industry, including more than eight years pricing group schemes.
She comes to AIA from Sovereign Assurance, where she was a senior pricing specialist.
As part of wider changes, group insurance specialist Paul Bauer will leave AIA to take up a key service provider role to AIA, as part of Gallagher Bassett.
“The great news is that Paul will continue to have a close relationship with our business as he moves into a new role as Operations Manager Life & Health, managing the Gallagher Bassett team that provide administration support to AIA,” Cameron said.
Cameron says she expects to announce further senior roles in due course but the reorganisation will not result in a reduction in staff head count.
“The changes we’re implementing will ensure our resources are focused on our areas of competitive advantage and to drive an excellent experience and value for our customers and partners. We have big plans for 2016, to reach further with insurance products that make real sense to Kiwis and their families, and will protect them at their time of greatest need."
