Fidelity appoints managers

Fidelity Life says it is bolstering its support for advisers with a range of new appointments.

Friday, December 14th 2018, 3:25PM

It has hired Phil O'Keefe as key development manager, health, Leigh Austin as a professional development manager and Ciara Thompson and Anna Frecklington as retail account managers.

Frecklington is daughter of Mark Frecklington, who was well-known to many advisers. She has been working at Asteron Life.

Chief distribution Adrian Riminton said the new model would help set advisers up for success in 2019.

“Our new sales and support model, backed by the wider Fidelity Life team, is focussed on setting up advisers’ businesses, and ours, for a sustainable and successful future with the customer at the centre of everything we do.”

The latest appointments to Fidelity Life’s distribution team closely follow those of business managers Peter Warfield (Auckland), Andrea Reid (Bay of Plent /Waikato), Gary Binnie (Christchurch) and David Telfer (Otago).

Business managers will provide advisers nationwide with strategic support to help grow their businesses. They’ll be backed up by retail account managers based in Auckland who’ll focus on ensuring advisers understand the Fidelity Life and nib offer and how it can benefit customers.

Still to be appointed are a second business manager for the Auckland region, a business manager for the Wellington/Central region and an additional retail account manager.
