The latest member to join the expanding Milestone joint venture is Hawkes Bay-based Richard Maloy.
Maloy is the shareholder of CML Financial Planning in Hawkes Bay with more than 600 clients. He bought the remaining shares in CML from the directors of Cole Murray, he then joined the Milestone joint venture, renaming CML as Milestone Financial Hawkes Bay.
CML began in 2008 and returning home from a currency trading career in Sydney in 2015, Maloy joined CML acquiring equity in due course.
“I’ve really enjoyed the camaraderie of Cole Murray”, said Maloy, “and whilst we will remain close, it’s now time for me to advance the investment planning speciality”.
“It is at the point where both specialisation and a quality support network like Milestone’s enables me to grow further."
Milestone general manager Grant Pearson said, “We are all obviously delighted at Richard’s decision. His talents and business will enable us all to do things better together. It’s a benefit of our joint venture. Individuality and control but sharing costs, tasks and pursuing the future supporting one another.”
Milestone recently announced its expansion of services to FAPs wishing to better meet regulatory demands, share costs and further quality investment outcomes for clients, including two new-generation investment software offerings.
