El Schutte is one of three new Business Development Manager’s at the insurer providing support for the Northern region. Schutte has almost 20 years’ experience in insurance key account management, experience in operations and compliance and a deep understanding and commitment to the needs of the insurer’s adviser community.

In another appointment to support the Northern region, Yas Al-Sagban joins Asteron Life, also in the role of Business Development Manager. He brings 16 years of industry and relationship expertise, experience as a financial adviser and strength in key account management.

Suzanne Heckman, formerly Asteron Life Business Development Consultant for the Wellington region, was also recently appointed as the new Central region Business Development Manager to cover the Wairarapa, Manawatu and Hawkes Bay regions. Heckman has more than 20 years’ experience in insurance, with a wealth of industry knowledge applied to adding value to adviser businesses.

In addition to the new Business Development Manager appointments, Asteron Life has also brought new customer-focused product and business knowledge and expertise into the business with the appointment of Michelle Randerson as Manager Platform and Product. Randerson is a highly experienced senior product manager with deep life insurance product expertise and experience working in adviser businesses. She is committed to the business’ focus on improving adviser experience and ensuring access to new products and solutions that meet customer needs across intermediary, corporate partner and employee insurance channels.

Asteron’s Head of Life, Grant Willis says the new appointments bring additional depth to the business’ life insurance offerings.

“We’re excited to have brought the additional expertise and experience of these finance and insurance professionals onto the Asteron Life team.”

“Each of these bring distinct and hugely valuable experience and fresh commitment and perspective to ensuring our ongoing support of the growth and success of adviser services and solution delivery.”
