Kernel, which continues to grow its product range and experience increasing wholesale demands, has added to its investment management team.
Recently it hired Matthew Winton as a portfolio manager. Winton brings experience from his international career spanning Auckland, Sydney, Tokyo and most recently London as the European Head of USD interest rate products.
He has 15 years experience as a fixed income trader, notably he has been responsible for NZD and AUD interest rate option trading for Citibank Australasia, and USD swap and US treasury trading for BNP Paribas London.
Winton will be exploring new product opportunities for Kernel to respond to increasing market enquiries, as well as supporting the ongoing optimisation of its existing products, such as further enhancements to its positive tracking difference and hedging management policies.
"This is an exciting addition for the team," chief executive Dean Anderson says. "We still have an open position for another portfolio manager position. We expect this will support what is shaping to be a busy finish to the year, with several new funds in the works."
