Booster has appointed Andrew Hughes to a new executive position of chief risk officer.
In this role he is responsible for the overall risk management and compliance framework for the business. This involves managing and effectively executing a balance between risk and regulatory requirements, contributing to our leadership teams’ focus on customer outcomes, and navigating through the delivery of innovation whilst ensuring that all legal requirements are met to the highest standard.
Hughes’s most recent role was as general manager, corporate trustee services at Public Trust and prior to this he was based in Asia working for Capital Services Group for 15 years.
Booster managing director Allan Yeo said, “We are delighted to have secured someone with the skills and experience that Andrew has as we add to our team, ensuring that Booster responds appropriately to the increased regulatory obligations that financial services companies face.”
“We are continuing to expand the range of services and products that we provide our customers, both directly and through financial advisers. As we innovate and deliver things that are good for customers, Andrew’s appointment continues our commitment to have our team meeting all our obligations.”
“I welcome Andrew to our team. He led his team very well at Public Trust and it’s great that we will have him in this senior leadership role at Booster.”
Hughes said he looks forward to contributing from a risk oversight perspective as Booster continues to grow and expand its products and services.
Booster has also announced changes to its board, with Richard Kirkland being appointed a director of Booster Investment Management following the retirement of Bruce Edgar.
