Partners nabs CFO from competitor
Partners Life's new chief financial officer says he's "admired Partners Life as a competitor for many years"; now he is joining the team.

Mark Schollum has been appointed as Partners Life's new chief financial officer, starting in the role in March next year.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the life insurance industry, both in New Zealand and internationally. This includes six years as CFO, with two years at Chubb Life and four years at Cigna before its acquisition by Chubb. Prior to this, he held senior executive finance roles at Cigna.
He has a strong focus on good customer outcomes in the life and health insurance industry. Among his achievements, Schollum has been responsible for helping drive sustainable organic growth and overseeing mergers and acquisitions.
Schollum says, “I’ve admired Partners Life as a competitor for many years. I’m thrilled to join such a customer-focused and innovative team. The life and health insurance industry in New Zealand is evolving fast and I look forward to making my contribution to Partners Life’s purpose; building a brighter and more secure future for all New Zealanders.”
