John Cobb has joined the NZ Funds’ Board. He has had a 20 year career in share broking and investment banking, holding many roles with JB Were during his first 15 years before being appointed as Co-CEO of Goldman Sachs JB Were in New Zealand in 2007.
Since that time he has held various directorship roles including his current directorship with Heco Group Holdings. He is also a Trustee of North Harbour Club and Charitable Trust and works with several businesses assisting with growth and investment.
“We’re extremely pleased to welcome someone of John’s calibre to our Board. His previous senior executive roles in the investment sector means he brings with him significant relevant experience to our governance team and we anticipate he will also work closely with many of our senior executives to help further grow our business,” NZ Funds’ independent Chairman, Greg Horton, said.
Cobb said: “I’m delighted to join such a well-established and respected firm and am hoping my previous experience will mean I can make a valuable contribution.”
